Moose near Western Brook Pond

A moose's favorite time to come out is at dusk so when I was hiking back from Western Brook Pond just after sunset, I figured I'd have my best chance to see some. The younger moose facing the camera had been on the main trail when I came by. There was a moment of each of us staring at the other in the dim light until he bolted back to his mother and sibling when a flight of ducks came honking by. Right next to the pond is a sign saying that moose are particularly fond of this area.
