These two pictures are each taken looking across Bonne Bay from two different sides. The upper picture shows the town of Woody Point and the Tablelands and was taken from roughly the center of the lower picture, just above the town. The lower picture shows the town of Norris Point and Gros Morne and was taken from just above the town in the upper picture. Gros Morne and the Tablelands are billion year old mountains formed from an upwelling of the mantle, and they're bare of vegetation because of the high concentration of heavy metals in the rock and soil.
