Geospatial experience

Graduate study at George Mason University.  Course work has included geographic information systems, GIS algorithms and programming, spatial indexing, ESRI and open source software, photographic and digital remote sensing, quantitative analysis, ellipsoidal geometry, and cartography.

Georeferencing and digitizing maps using ArcGIS.

I ntegration with Google and MapQuest APIs using Javascript and HTML.

Programming with ESRI Geoprocessing using Python.

Programming experience

Responsible for maintenance and new development of server and web based applications for the America Online infrastructure service using C, C++, and Java on Unix and Linux.

Designed and implemented feature changes for a user-facing password maintenance system.

Designed and implemented feature changes for a credit card database and form-fill system.

Trained overseas coworkers in maintenance of systems.

Designed and implemented components of a satellite network system to provide bandwidth allocation and reliable object delivery using TCP/IP and UDP/IP multicast sockets over satellites in C on BSD Unix.

Ran a business providing programming, networking, and system administration support for clients including Daft McCune Walker, BancTec, McCabe & Associates, and TRG Networking.

Designed and implemented new features and did maintenance coding in C of a network based image and document processing system in a cross-platform Unix environment (HP/UX, Solaris, Digital Unix, and Tandem) using sockets, Informix, and Oracle.
